Cursed is an American drama show created by Frank Miller and Tom
Wheeler that was released in July 2020. The show is based on a novel named
‘Cursed’ that has come up with a combination of fantasy, drama, adventure, and
action. The show has a total of ten episodes that were aired on the same date.
After playing the role of Hannah Baker in ’13 Reasons Why,’
Katherine Langford has once again come up with a splendid performance in the
new show. The show has gained a lot of fans in a few weeks of its premiere and
kept its audience hooked. Though there is no official word from Netflix
regarding the renewal of the season, its fans are expecting another season to
unfold the mystery.
The lead actor Katherine also shared behind-the-scenes pictures
from the set of ‘Cursed’ on her official Instagram account. The character
played by Katherine is altogether different from the character in her last series,
and the audience is absolutely in love with the change. The hard work and
dedication given out by Katherine to the show is well seen as the show
celebrates its huge success.
Cursed is a story that revolves around a lady of the Lake of
Arthurian legend called Nimue. Nimue belongs to a mythical race of people, who
are tuned with nature in different ways, called the ‘Fey’. Nimue has unusual
powers which lead to people of her clan despising her and thinking of her as
some wayward witch. When Nimue is chosen as the spiritual leader of her clan by
‘the Hidden’ (powerful ancestral force), she tries to flee in an attempt to
start a new life with her best friend, Pym. A lot more events take place as the
show proceeds further and reaches its last episode. Without giving out any
spoiler for the ones who haven’t watched the show, the story is left at a
cliff-hanging point and is expected to continue in its next season.
Cursed is an origin story and while you move forward to each
episode, many interesting questions rise that will keep you hooked until the
end. It is absolutely a breath of fresh air for those craving a new fantasy
series. As said above, the second season is not renewed yet, but for the ones
who haven’t watched a single episode of season 1, the show is available on
Netflix to binge-watch.
