  4. An ‘Audio’ and ‘Subtitles’ menu will open.

Note: The subtitles are off by default.

  • Select the language in which you want the subtitles to appear under the ‘Subtitles’ section.
  • In case you want to disable the subtitles, select the ‘Off’ option under the ‘Subtitles’ section.

On iPhone, iPad, or Android Devices

The steps to enable or disable the subtitles for Disney+ on iPhone, iPad, or Android devices are:

Unluckily, the action is only possible if you’re using your web browser to stream. However, if you want to customize the captions, the steps for the same are:

  1. Visit the Disney+ website and begin playing a video.
  2. Click on the ‘Language Controls’ icon on the top-right corner.

  4. Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on top of the menu.

  6. Font border, background color, and opacity are also customizable.
  7. If you want to remove all the changes and get back to the regular subtitles, tap on the ‘Reset to Default’ button at the bottom.

Note: Any changes you make to the subtitles will appear at the top as a preview. Thus, you can change the settings immediately if you don’t like it.
