Twitter is an incredible social media website that lets its users interact via messages known as ‘tweets.’ The platform enables the registered users to post, retweet other tweets, like, and much more. While the unregistered users can only view the content, other people are posting.
If you’re a dedicated Twitter user, you must be aware of all the updates and features it brings out every once in a while. The introduction of new features not only keeps the platform in a spotlight but provides it with a fresh outlook.
Twitter is regularly coming up with new features for its mobile app. As you know, Twitter recently tested its new ‘Read before sharing’ feature for iOS devices. Not only this, but the platform also worked on major updates like, initially it allowed 140 characters of Tweet, which was later doubled to 280 characters. Now, it has come up with a ‘Grouped’ feature which is being tested for Android.
As officially announced by the platform, the new feature will bring you suggestions on a group of accounts depending upon the grouped subject of posts. In simple words, it’ll use Twitter’s Algorithms to identify a list of accounts based on the content they share. As Twitter has been testing several new features for the past few months, which are successfully added to the platform, we expect the new feature to be available as soon as possible.
In a narrower sense, the platform is looking forward to bringing you a feature that will suggest you follow some of the relevant accounts. The suggestions will be displayed on a separate suggestion page from which you can figure out the accounts to follow. Further, the users can choose to follow all the accounts at once or deny the accounts they don’t want to see again.
Twitter has a traditional suggestion box that presents three user accounts to follow along with an additional option to view more accounts. The current suggestion box will be removed once the new feature is introduced. The ‘Grouped’ feature aims to broaden the network and become an interconnected social media platform.
The new feature is still in testing; therefore, working for a few Android users. Unfortunately, there is no word if the feature will roll out for iOS users or not. Though, we assume that if the feature proves beneficial for the Android users, it might release for iOS users as well. We’re well aware of the advantageous features and updates Twitter brings out every often. Thus, the new ‘Grouped’ feature testing has got the audience excited and curious to see what the new update will bring along.
