Voice Tweet Feature Rolling Out for iOS Users

Twitter is one of the most popular social media platforms where you hop on to look for the latest updates, GIFs, pictures, personality conversations, and much more. We’re all well aware of the mechanism of Twitter and face certain drawbacks with the same.

Want to express your thoughts which are impossible with the bounded limit of 280 characters?  Twitter has been continuously criticized because of its lack of accessibility features, due to which it has finally introduced a new voice tweet feature for its platform.

Voice tweets is a feature that was enabled for a limited number of accounts; however, now the news is that Twitter is working on introducing the feature to more iOS users. Not only this, but Twitter is also working on a feature that will enable you to slide into other DMs with voice notes. Unfortunately, the feature is not yet available for all the regions, but it is likely to be released anytime soon.

Twitter Support quoted that “voice tweets will be available to more iOS users so we can keep learning about how people use audio.” However, there is no word regarding when will the new feature roll for all the users to test. Other than this, iPhone users who already have updated their Twitter account and have the new feature available will see an additional icon in the tweet compose box. All you have to do is click on the voice tweets button and start recording your tweet. Once you’re done recording, you can share it on your timeline and others can simply play the same to hear it.

If you’re wondering that the voice tweet will enable you to record as much as you want, a single voice tweet will capture up to 140 seconds of audio. Once you record a single audio clip of 140 seconds, a thread will follow. After recording the complete audio, hit the done button and hop back to the composer screen to post your tweet. The platform also mentioned that unlike any other apps, you could hear a tweet on the timeline without interrupting other activities like typing a text message, checking your email, etc.

Another advantage of sharing a voice tweet is presenting a clear expression and keeping your perspective. The main objective of introducing the new voice tweet feature is to provide speech to the users, so nothing remains unsaid.

Other than being able to use the voice tweets, Twitter is working on introducing a transcribing feature keeping in mind their users who are hard of hearing. The platform started working on the transcribing feature after receiving feedback from the audience. Also, Twitter apologized for not testing the same earlier.

The new feature seems a lot more convenient, right? Though the feature is still in process for the iOS users, once it gets updated, there will be no going back from the same. Transcribing features along with a voice tweet will be a cherry on the top.
